Pro Social Partners are proud to be working in partnership with the London Borough of Sutton to recruit a Team Manager to lead their Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH).

Sutton's MASH is the front door to Children's Social Care, bringing social work, police, health and education together to make timely, safe decisions about children and families. This is a leadership role for an experienced manager who wants to own that front door, with a golden hello and annual retention payment alongside a competitive London salary.

The Role

As Team Manager of the MASH, you will:

Lead, manage and supervise a team of social workers and practitioners working at the front door.

Take responsibility for threshold decisions on contacts and referrals, ensuring children at risk receive a timely and proportionate response.

Oversee multi-agency strategy discussions and information sharing with police, health, education and other partners.

Monitor performance, quality and timeliness, and drive continuous improvement in front door practice.

Work closely with early help, assessment and safeguarding teams to make sure families move to the right service quickly.

About You

You will be an experienced and confident leader with:

A recognised Social Work qualification and current Social Work England registration.

Substantial post-qualifying experience in Children's Social Care, including front door, duty or safeguarding work.

Experience of managing or deputising for a team, with strong supervision skills.

Sound judgement on thresholds and risk, and the confidence to make decisions under time pressure.

A commitment to strong multi-agency partnership and relationship-based practice.

Why the London Borough of Sutton?

A competitive salary plus a £1,000 golden hello and £1,000 annual retention payment.

A key leadership role at the front door of an outer London children's service.

Supportive senior leadership and a strong culture of reflective supervision.

Excellent training, development and career progression opportunities.

Hybrid working arrangements and a genuine commitment to work-life balance.
