Social Worker – Safeguarding and Court Team (Permanent)
Location: London Borough of Haringey (Hybrid working available)
Salary: £40,182 – £52,194 (dependent on experience)
Contract: Permanent
Pro Social Partners are proud to be working in partnership with the London Borough of Haringey to recruit Social Workers to join their Safeguarding and Court Team.
The team works with children on child protection plans and families in pre-proceedings and care proceedings, so this is a role for a practitioner who is comfortable with risk, confident in court and committed to getting the right outcomes for children in a busy and diverse North London borough.
The Role
As a Social Worker within the Safeguarding and Court Team, you will:
Hold a caseload of children subject to child protection plans, PLO and care proceedings.
Complete high-quality assessments that clearly analyse risk, need and protective factors.
Prepare clear, evidence-based court statements and care plans and give evidence where required.
Build purposeful relationships with children, young people and families to bring about safe, lasting change.
Work closely with legal colleagues, health, education, police and other partners.
About You
You will be a committed and capable practitioner with:
A recognised Social Work qualification and current Social Work England registration.
Post-qualifying experience within Children's Social Care, ideally including child protection and court work.
Strong assessment, analytical and report-writing skills.
Confidence working with complexity, risk and multi-agency partners.
A clear commitment to relationship-based and strengths-led practice.
