Social Worker – Adults West Team (Permanent)

Location: Southend-on-Sea City Council (Hybrid working available)

Salary: £40,444 – £46,579 (dependent on experience)

Contract: Permanent

Pro Social Partners are proud to be working in partnership with Southend-on-Sea City Council to recruit a Social Worker to join their Adults West Team.

This is a varied adult social care role working with adults and their families across the community, helping people stay as independent, safe and well as possible and making sure the support around them genuinely fits their lives.

The Role

As a Social Worker within the Adults West Team, you will:

Hold a varied caseload, completing strengths based assessments and reviews under the Care Act 2014.

Work alongside adults, carers and families to agree support plans that reflect what matters to them.

Lead and contribute to adult safeguarding enquiries, keeping the person at the centre of every decision.

Apply the Mental Capacity Act confidently, including capacity assessments and best interests decisions.

Work closely with health colleagues, housing, the voluntary sector and other partners to get the right outcomes.

About You

You will be a confident and caring practitioner with:

A recognised Social Work qualification and current Social Work England registration.

Experience in adult social care, either post qualifying or through a substantial statutory placement.

Sound knowledge of the Care Act 2014, the Mental Capacity Act and adult safeguarding.

Clear, analytical recording and the ability to manage a busy caseload well.
