Salary: £42,771 – £52,194 (dependent on experience)

The Court Team focuses on delivering high-quality statutory work, intensive intervention, and permanency planning, ensuring safe, sustainable outcomes for children and young people involved in care proceedings.

The Role
As a Social Worker / Senior Social Worker in the Court Team, you will:
Undertake statutory child protection and court work, preparing clear, evidence-based assessments and reports.
Develop, implement, and review robust care plans in line with legal requirements.
Work intensively with children and families to support positive change and safe parenting.
Lead on permanency planning to secure long-term outcomes for children.
London Social Work for Children
Collaborate effectively with legal teams, partner agencies, and internal colleagues to achieve the best outcomes for children and young people.
For Senior Social Workers: provide leadership and professional guidance to colleagues as part of case planning and practice improvement.

About You
You will be a motivated and knowledgeable practitioner with:
A recognised Social Work qualification and current Social Work England registration.
Post-qualifying experience in children’s social work, with relevant experience of statutory work and court processes.
Strong assessment, analytical, and written communication skills.
A commitment to relationship-based practice and high standards of professional practice.
For Senior Social Worker applications: evidence of leadership, complex case management, and the ability to support and mentor colleagues.
